The event is the "British Speedway Grand Prix" with a crowd of approx 

45,000  spectators expected.

There are six entrances we have been advised to have at least (10 to 15)

collectors per gate/entrance so we need approx 90 people for about three hours.

From 2.00pm to allow time for registration and getting to the gate - till 5.00pm approx

(NB - there is no collection at the end of the event).

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS.

We have to comply with the Millennium Stadium regulations and the event organisers to be able to hold the collection

and to make the collection a success for the Charity Trust PA (Charity No.1093038).

1. We will meet at: Cardiff Blues (Ticket Office) Opposite: The ANGEL HOTEL in Westgate Street for collectors registration to take place. There will be Buckets, Authorisation Badges and Caps available for all collectors at sign in. 

NB. If you have a Trust PA polo shirt/cap or similar, please wear it.

2. We are only allowed a few car parking spaces so for disabled or other vital requirements like minibus groups please speak to us to arrange parking with the authorities ASAP please.

3. We will select six (6)  - Gate Captains who will each be allocated to a specific Gate Number and location.

Gate Captains Requirements

Please check; that the people on your allocated gate are spread out alternately on either side of the pedestrian route between the road access and the stadium GATE Turnstiles. It is also important that returning at the end of the collection is best done as a group for security and personal safety please. 4. Bucket collectors - return your filled buckets plus badges, to Cardiff Blues Registration Point at the end of the collection please (the same applies if you have to leave early) and best walk with the group or phone us if you need support.

NB. If you DO have to leave early - please let your Gate Captain know you are leaving so that we know you are safe and not just lost.

5. A Tip to increase your collection and so that people understand why we are collecting –
please call out something like -  “PLEASE HELP US TO END PARALYSIS”  this should be a good natured informative broadcast and in no way aggressive, annoying or intrusive.                                                    

6. At the end of the collection (the start of the speedway event 5.00pm) from a personal security & safety point of view, we would prefer all collectors and team leaders to return together (or at least in pairs) to the Cardiff Blues Office Opposite: The ANGEL HOTEL Westgate Street.

7. At Cardiff Blues Office Opposite: The ANGEL HOTEL Westgate Street check in your collection bucket & badge  - please be patient.

[NB. we will not have time or facilities to count each bucket of money on the day but will bag your collection with your name badge for later counting].

8. Gate Captains will be allocated with security access passes and we would also appreciate some additional help at the end of the event from a couple of gate captains to help us clear away please.
