 West Country 7's Festival
Trust PA Memorial 7's - SUNDAY 20th June 2010
 

The weekend at Keynsham Rugby Football Club (KRFC) was awesome.

 Men's Social Competition - 48 teams (12 groups of 4 teams)

Camping was available on site for teams and spectators. 
There was plenty of attractions for all the family, and lots of food and drink stalls.

 

As there were so many teams this year approx 120 over the three days

it was quite different to the previous years where we previously had

approx 20 teams on just the Sunday. 

 

Friday was a corporate event with Saturday being the second leg of the UK National 7's Series with many professional players competing and was televised by SKY TV.

This included 12 teams with teams from Ireland and France who won the tournament.

There was also the Marston's Men's Open Tournament with 33 teams competing.

Also the Marston's Ladies Open Tournament with 12 teams including sides from Spain & Netherlands. 

 

On SUNDAY 20th June - The Trust PA Tournament

included 52 teams competed for the Cup and Plate with the Cup Winners Avonmouth RFC

winning £250 plus tickets for paint-ball and a case of Blackthorn.

 Old RedcliffiansRFC were the plate winners.

 

The weather was superb with plenty of sun and a cool breeze.

everyone had a wonderful and enjoyable event.
